Day 1: Prague

Welcome to Prague, which is the equal of Paris in terms of beauty. Its history goes back a millennium. And the beer? The best in Europe. Overnight stay at Prague.

Day 2: Prague Tour

Let us show you the very best of the Czech Republic’s capital! Start your adventure in the beautiful Old Town Square(Blue Route), home to Prague’s medieval Astronomical Clock. Wait to hear it chime on the hour before hopping on the bus and continuing your journey. Both the Red and the Blue Routes will take you across the river to the quaint, hillside district of Malá Strana, with its breathtaking views of the Old Town back across the Vltava. It’s worth hopping off and wandering through the district’s warren of winding cobbled streets.

Hop back on the Red Route and discover the world’s largest ancient castle complex! The Red Route will also take you to the 12th century Strahov Monastery, with its beautiful Baroque library and picturesque Kampa Island, Prague’s answer to Venice!

Alternatively, hop on the Blue Route and let us take you through the enchanting district of Malá Strana with its hidden courtyards and gardens, to Lesser Town Square. Here you’ll discover the Baroque masterpiece, St. Nicholas Church with is majestic dome, before continuing to Kampa Island, where you can hop off and stroll through the idyllic streets. Finally, enjoy panoramic views of the Vltava river as you cross over to the Old Jewish Cemetery.

No trip to Prague would be complete without taking time to admire the historic Charles Bridge, lined with looming Baroque statues and flanked by Gothic bridge towers. Why not discover this must-see monument from a new perspective and avoid the crowds? Hop on the cruise boat and meander along the Vltava, enjoying views not only of Charles Bridge, but also of the picturesque castle towering over the medieval city below.

Day 3: Prague - Karlovy Vary Carlsbad - Moser Glass Factory

During this tour you’ll have the opportunity to visit the largest, most well-known Czech Spa (its German name is Carlsbad). The founding of this town has been linked to Emperor Charles IV since 1358, when he built a hunting lodge here. There are 12 famous springs with a temperature of about 72°C, the most famous being Vridlo.

Karlovy Vary is also famous for its local china and glass manufacturing industry. These products are on display at a special exhibition and are sold at specialized shops. The spa was visited by many rulers and artists including Goethe, Chateaubriand, Chopin, Beethoven, Brahms and Dvorak. We will provide time for lunch (included). You will also visit the Moser glass factory museum and glass shop.

Day 4: Prague - Budapest

Bus ride to Budapest. Check-in at your hotel. Day at leisure and Overnight stay at Budapest.

Day 5: Budapest Tour

We start the tour from the Chain Bridge, pass by the Parliament and take the Margaret Bridge to drive over to the Buda side. We stop in the Castle Districtand during a short walk we show you the main attractions of the area. We walk to the Matthias Church and the Fishermen's Bastion (from where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama).

Next, we drive to the Gellért Hill (Citadel) and show you the most spectacular view of Budapest. Afterwards, we take you over the Elisabeth Bridge to Pest and show you the famous Central Market Hall and the largest Synagogue of Europe, afterwards we drive to the City Park. We pass by the famous Széchenyi Thermal Bath, the Budapest Zoo, then stop at the Heroes' Square(with statues of the most famous Hungarian kings and dukes).

We take the Andrássy Avenue back to downtown Pest, while passing by the Opera House and St Stephen's Basilica. During the tour we offer a brief overview of the last 1000 years of Hungarian history.

After the 3-hour city tour we take a 1-hour long river cruise on the Danube to see the sites of Budapest from a different perspective. During the boat tour you can refresh yourself with a glass of drink (choice of champagne, wine, beer, soft drinks, mineral water) and enjoy the commentary of the audio guide (available in 30 languages). Tour ends at the pier / city centre.

Day 6: Budapest - Esztergom - Visegrád - Szentendre

Danube Bend – an excursion into Hungary's history. This is an unforgettable tour along the "Blue Danube" with stops in Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre.

Esztergom: It used to be the capital of Hungary and is still the centre of the Catholic Church. We visit the largest cathedral of Hungary (also burial place of famous cardinals, like Primate József Mindszenty). Afterwards, we drive across the river to Slovakia and enjoy the view over the Basilica.

Visegrád: After the Mongol invasion a new fortification was constructed here in the mid-13th century. The top of the hill offers a fascinating panorama on the Danube valley. After enjoying the view there is an opportunity to have lunch (not included in the price).

Szentendre: It is a small baroque city built on medieval ruins, located at the gate of the Danube Bend. The town is considered to be the Artists' Village or the Painters' Town. We walk around the historical centre and enjoy the cobblestoned narrow streets as well as the baroque houses. After the guided tour you can also visit some museums (for example the famous Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum with marzipan figures).

During summer (May-September) we return to Budapest by boat. The tour ends in the city centre (pier).

Day 7: Departure

Proceed to the airport for your onward journey.
